RO Concentrate Minimization Technology
Introduction to CTMR Technology: CTMR technology, also referred to as Chemical Treatment Coupled with Reverse Osmosis Treatment Technology, principally utilizes chemical pretreatment to condition the reverse osmosis concentrate. By diminishing the scaling constituents therein prior to its entry into the high-pressure membrane system, water recovery is continuously effected and the recovery rate enhanced. Post CTMR treatment of the reverse osmosis concentrate, the effluent is blended with the reverse osmosis product water of the main process for reuse. The concentrate can either be managed within the plant or subjected to further exploitation, such as via evaporation and crystallization to yield product salt for resource recuperation.
